The Belmont County Commissioners will hold a Town Hall meeting on Monday, July 23, 2018, at 6:00 p.m. at the Martins Ferry Public Library, 20 South Fifth Street, Martins Ferry, OH 43935, and to notify the media of the same. Public input is welcome and citizens are encouraged to attend.
Effective April 16, 2018, commercial building projects within the unincorporated areas of Belmont County will be served by Mid-East Ohio Building Department located in Zanesville. Any commercial building project started prior to that date with permits and inspections through the Southeast Ohio Building Department, will be served by Southeast Ohio through project completion. Notice of Public Hearings
The Belmont County Commissioners will conduct two public hearings for the purpose of consideration of the adoption of the three (3) additional $5.00 Motor Vehicle Annual License Tax, for a total of $15.00, as provided by Sections 4504.15, 4504.16 and 4504.24 of the Ohio Revised Code, per the request and recommendation of the Belmont County Engineer.
The first public hearing will be held on May 9, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. in the Commissioners meeting room at the Courthouse located at 101 W. Main Street, St. Clairsville, Ohio. The second hearing will be held onMay 16, 2018, 9:30 a.m. at the same location. All interested persons are hereby notified of their legal right to attend such hearings.
